A discussion with musician Sona Jobarteh tonight on Skagit Talks. Jobarteh will be performing at McIntyre Hall in Mount Vernon on Friday, March 31st at 7:30pm. She is the world's first woman to master the kora -- a traditional West African instrument indigenous to her mother country, Gambia. A few years ago, she started The Gambia Academy, pioneering a new model for African education that is centered on African history, culture and perspective. All this and more on Skagit Talks.
